Bullying very guilty for what I am today. so I think I improve every day. so I want to tell my story.
I'm Maria Manuela Marquez Velasquez, born in Medellin, Colombia in October 1997, Marymount College study in the same city in seventh grade and I want to share my story: I started at school when he was 3 ½ years, had no gross motor skills and or fine, because paint did not even know the least and yet I fell to the floor, my parents were still at school meetings with teachers and psychologists to the rector and director at times. To start with something that marked the path they should deal with my parents, from school was when we were taken to a nursery in the town of La Estrella Antioquia Colombia; After visiting the idea was to paint in school but what we would impact of this visit, each of us do their work and to the surprise of my parents I paint a black box on the sheet they gave us and it unleashed on appointment to my parents because I did not know painting, all the classmates had painted beautiful flowers and beautiful scenery while I was painting the ugliest of all. Well this is a story of my parents, I do not remember what happened. My parents called my mother's uncle, William, an architect specializing in education based on the creatividad.Segun words of my parents, once they met Uncle William, my grandfather, the sculptor Oscar Velasquez and grandmother Luz Helena after the guy asked me to paint William and answer them as I have a black thing that covered the flowers, they concluded that the school was judging me without just cause, because that was what had hit me the most me at that age three and half years. The decision I took my parents with the rest of my family was the painting may go in to class with a teacher in the house, Nestor de lion, a coast that knows how to teach, because today after 10 years of taking classes with him, even is my art teacher. In the years following maternal, prekindergarten, garden, were not very different from the others, while working with fine motor Nestor, my father was in the thick, putting to walk through a railing to hang on another and various exercises such as walking with short steps and long steps by a line painted on the floor. With all this in addition to words of encouragement and congratulations, with achievement awards from my family, the results quickly began to appear. At age 6 I present in the National Children's Painting room Debora Arango in which I got the first place, there were more than 1500 paintings from around the country with jurors as important as the artist Dora Ramirez and the Rector of the University of Medellin Eafit Luis Fernando Mejia. My family motivates me more to continue fighting and to be increasingly integrated. Step back a year to get a prize at the National Hall Débora Arango, this time the school was interested in me, well then at least a little after seeing that I had taken in the newspapers as a great noticia.Despues this started receiving letters from the time President Alvaro Uribe Velez Dr cards, the mayor of Medellin and be interviewed on television, even appearing on regional cultural television programs. When I was 8 years, had painted over 100 oil paintings on canvas almost all large 2 mts formats x1, 50 meters, 1.50 meters x 1.50 meters and 2 meters x 1 MT. I had my first solo exhibition in a public room, if the Medellin Pilot Public Library, where I hung 80 works, this was followed in the college hung 30 works in the same año.Obtuve a prize for second place in a I do contest the Alliance Française and the prize was a scholarship for six months to study French, you take the opportunity to improve my knowledge, since being a student in a bilingual school have English and Spanish, the opportunity to learn French was very attractive and not waste it. Win a First in Medellin Inter collegiate painting. Each day became more frequent interviews on television, newspapers and letters from the President congratulating the success or exposure. Less than a year when I was invited by another room published, this time in the city of Cali in the Library of Comfenalco, where 50 works cogue. Also representing the school in another Inter collegiate paint and got the first puesto.Durante this year, also got first place in my category in a contest involving inter more than 15,000 children from the Department of Antioquia. By the following year my father enrolled me in The International Children's Painting Biennale of Kanagawa Japan in which 20,723 children took part (as) from 84 countries for which painted the silence and I was awarded and this time I got back the letters of congratulations from President and Mayor, also a large number of interviews to national and regional television, as well as front page news in the leading newspaper of the city of Medellin Colombia on June 9, 2009. Well they are most I can tell about my life, maybe I was also selected in an adult International Biennial for which my father had to ask permission, since it had just 11 when I was selected in Siart 2009 in La Paz Bolivia, where he came out selected The last piece that measures 2m by 1.70 mts.en this is more than 1500 artists from 36 countries. Well this was another great news for the city and the country, then again there was press, television. I think that many efforts of all my household because I have a high-class infrastructure, my Grandpa is in charge of supply of oils, brushes, canvases and materials in general for my work, besides being my mentor and love of my life, my grandmother is responsible for the general welfare Mio in Food, clothing and others, another of my great loves, my father works in all the marketing, search contests, print Canvases with the GSO, homework support, everything related to Internet. My mother is who would play the part that is harder, it is my constant companion, one who is in continuous support so I would not waste my time, who is encouraging me while constantly criticizing what looks weak, but with love, who accompanies me to all my classes are many, French, German, piano, painting, guitar, swimming. Well I've been in several group exhibitions and had one where my grandfather was with me, the 20 sculptures and 50 paintings I also in the Medellin Pilot Public Library in the most recent exposure 2010.La was in March 2011 in House of Culture of the Government of Antioquia, where I presented 27 works. I can not say it was easy, nothing is, but I have been fortunate in my household and what I have to be motivated to learn better. I love playing piano, guitar and want to learn to sing, because I study the piano for over 8 years and guitar for 1 year. Just started the second half of the year 2011 I decided I wanted another language, because although they speak and write English, French and Spanish, I want one more and I come to study German at the University Eafit. I already have thirteen, almost fourteen good and time is short, I want to master 5 languages and I hope to study at the Sorbonne in Paris, but I'm not studying art, I study medicine and specialize in pediatric surgery or plastic. Most importantly, know all, I am also a girl, I also play on the farm with friends, going to movies and biking with my amigas.nado once a week. For what it is I have no time to chat, I think it is worth it and leaves nothing, but I did because I have Black Berry. To get to have more than 450 works now with the story, I had to work hard, but reality has helped me a lot of my family because my parents and my grandparents all the time reminded me how valuable I am.
